To seek knowledge is a sacred duty, it is obligatory on every Muslim. Allah says in the Quran “Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know?” Surah Al-Zumr, ayah 9 and “Allah grants wisdom to whom He pleases and to whom wisdom is granted indeed he receives an overflowing benefit.” 2-269 Prophet Mohammad (SAW) also stated “to Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave.”
Acquiring knowledge has countless benefits not only in this world but in the next. However, instead of acquiring knowledge, we have completely neglected this command and that alone has been the root cause of ignorance and has brought about moral and spiritual degradation within our Ummah. The thirst for knowledge has been replaced with the acquisition of the luxuries of this world, fortune, and all that is vain. In order to restore our position in this world, we must all strive to educate ourselves of the vast knowledge and wisdom that is provided to us by the Almighty, through the Holy Quran and the Sunnah. Only through this education process, can we truly revive the Islamic spirit within us.
Ibn Mas’ud (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: The position of only two persons is enviable; the person whom Allah bestowed wealth empowering him to spend it in the way of righteousness, and the person whom Allah gave wisdom with which he adjudges and which he teaches to others.
In order to fill this fundamental gap that exists in our community, MY DEEN will design and create an array of specialized educational programs and workshops that will build strong morals and character and increase the love of Allah and our Beloved Prophet (SAW).
